i still haven't tried it on undead. I would try but something about the cash shop in this game reallly bugs me now and i'm too lazy to spend money to try sanctuary, when I know 99% i'll just have to spend more money to respec and get rid of sanctuary. Nice try gravity, but i'll keep my $8.. hahaha.

 

If anyone tries sanctuary on undead, we'd be thrilled if you let us know how that worked out :3

yeah its so bad , im FS pure int i do heal around 1800-2000 . i tried sanctuary and it only do around 180 heal/sec for 10 sec and it only hit shadow element mobs . tried diferent element mobs but the sanctuary not hit em . yes , dont try it

What I want to know is if Sanctuary is considered Neutral damage or HOly since it only hits shadow. 

 

And if its holy, would a full holy % gear set make a difference on damage. (Not healing i know healing is neutral damage) But what I wanna know is if the monster damage is holy or not..... then again even if it went up 100% to around 300 damage per tick, would that even be worth it?

Its holy damage.

 

You need to wear % shadow damage gear and not % holy damage gear.

yeah.. in the desc it says 30% of your matk.. So if you had 1000 matk thats 300 heal/10 s? Doesn't seem worth it..

I wish it was a set amount like in iRO. That way battle priestess's can use that to help kill mobs/heal party/etc. OH well.

Can anyone confirm again that this skill is not attacking non-shadow monsters? If that's true then it looks like a bug to me, a big one at that, because the description doesn't mention this.

According to google translate:

회복/피해 횟수 means "damage / recovery times"

지속시간(초) means "duration in seconds"

 

I think this should be read as: both level 2 and 3 heals 3 times, and the enemies will take 8 times damage at level 3 and 6 times at level 2 (since it's damage per second)

 

So at level 10:

enemies will take 14 x 30% = 420% of matk worth of holy damage (before applying elemental damage)

allies will heal 10 x 30% = 300% of matk

 

A normal lvl 10 Heal is 100% + 200% matk bonus = 300% total. So if someone normally heals 1000HP, then lvl 10 Sanctuary also heals 1000HP total, which is 100HP per heal. However, Sanctuary heals all partymembers (maybe even any player in the area) so the potential is more like 400HP per heal, with a total of 4000HP. Given it should also damage the enemies for 420% in the process, this skill doesn't sound as bad as some people here make it out to be.

 

I admit however that because of the fuse technique, Sanctuary has become a bit obsolete, if you team up with a tank (no need for area heal) and wiz (their DPS >>> Sanctuary). But Sanctuary can make you less dependent on a fuse party (tank, wiz, lurer and FS priest with fuse).

 

EDIT: Adjusted the heal numbers for Sanctuary. Basically, a lvl 10 Sanctuary is a lvl 10 Heal for the entire party spread over a period of time, while also damaging enemies.

I made a mistake... Heal at level 10 is 200% matk bonus, not 200% heal. So Heal at level 10 actually heals for 300%. I've adjusted my previous post.

I'm planning on getting the skill now since base job got increased., someone is already using it ?

While having some extra passive bonus may be nice having an extra skill is certainly more fun.

it does heal anyone on AOE. I just dont know if it stacks tho. Couple days ago in pouring we defeated intermid so easily as theres nons stop sanctuary and i dont even have a Pt but i was getting healed by others sanc.

only use of sanctuary is in abyss dungeon to multi-heal all of the tanks.

(Priest with sanctuary)x3 + (tank) 1-2 + (DPS) 96-95 = an easy win.

everyone kept up through poison damage over time. pure damage.

I don't know why people do not know this basic information :P

ignorant high lvls maybe..

enemies all have a elemental property (when u target enemy, the picture beside name/health is element)

Players/Characters are neutral property.

Finally, cards that increase %extra dmg make you do %extra dmg more to the element that the card says with an attack.
 

Example: Wind extra dmg +(1-8)% card while fighting a wind elemental monster makes you do (1-8)% more damage when using any attack against that monster.

 

Because characters are neutral. Neutral extra damage (1-8)% cards make you do (1-8)% more dmg to a character in a duel or in battleground. Neutral reseist (1-7)% cards would then make you resist (1-7)% more damage from any other player in duel or battleground.
