After I've found out that mercenaries only gets damage whenever you take a hit, would it be possible to for a wiz with

lvl10 napalm beat (4sec immobilize) to do high lvl dungeons?  I was thinking of spamming napalm beat and letting my mercenaries

kill for me. Also would this build me good at bf?

 

lvl5 sp recovery

lvl10 energy coat

lvl10 napalm beat

lvl5 fire bolt

lvl10 upgrade fb

lvl10 ms

 

spare sp:5

 

Since I'm aiming for a build that is good at pvp/bf and leveling

would this be more efficient or should i just stick with standard 2 aoe build and dullahan?

Any thoughts?

I am a level 81 wiz with a 10 Napalm Beat. A 10 Napalm Beat sounds tempting eh? With the 4 seconds immobility, where else could we go wrong?

But here's the deal:

When you get to the higher-level monsters (especially those in level 8), you will find that napalm beat no longer works. By that, I mean, immobilizing them is almost close to impossible. You give them damage but you no longer freeze them.

So here's a tip: get your bolts ready and target one monster. After targetting a monster, fire bolt the monster then use your mount. Then run around your mercenaries. You get lesser chance of being hit by the monsters, plus you just let your mercenaries do the killing.

Don't dismount a lot unless you are at a safe distance, where firing another bolt is safe. If so, do it then mount again. Just make sure that when you mount, you don't go very far out of the monster's range or else it will flag.

With the wiz' lack of def and HP, our best bet is to NOT get hit by the monsters. I've been doing it successfully and got to finish all levels, even VVVS Kiel. :)

Quite frankly, Single Dungeon (SD) is a faster way for us wizzies to level up conpared to grinding in fields like Dulla. At level 80+, I barely get 2% after 30mins in Dulla (with Hero's manual books). On the other hand, SDs give me 7-8%.

SD, sadly, is mainly created in favor of knights. But there is a way for us weak def/hp characters to win. So... If every wiz learns how to effectively pass the difficulty of SDs, then we'd all be outranking even the toughest of knights.

Wiz domination!!!! Heh.

Would work if u got strong mercs. I'm still lvling mine. I'm just not very motivated.

Woh that's a really good suggestion chiro, but does it work? i mean with safety wall u still take a hit just no dmg. will your merce take dmg when safety wall is on?

Tnx for the info i really though napalm work on all mobs now I'm sad, just got napalm maxed  :(

i do SD 8-10 with machenary help...
my skill mechenary make mob cant att me..

Really? what skill is that? couse i have an r3 s bapho but his skill is shock wave.

sorry for the late reply, your merce wont receive any damage when you are in safety wall. I'm currently lvl 81 and gets 12-16% (2x exp weekend + 3x book) on 7-10 map.

Any tips so I can be on Auto Mode at stages 7-5 and up? Is it even possible??? Full VIT wiz, perhaps? Anyone tried it? Does it work??

My knight that can easily farm experience points because I can auto it repeatedly at stage 7-7 to 7-10. My wiz can only auto at stage 6-1 as the highest.

safety wall is the best option u cant let it in auto but u kill fast casting without getting hit i take about 7~8min to do sd 7-9/7-10 and i dont have good mercs coz if i have good ones i think it will be about 5min to kill all ;)

Thank you. And I tried that adding SW after reading suggestions from people.

Now I want to know if there are wizards in here who can actually FULL AUTO/AFK their wizards at level 7 stages? By afk I mean, no safety wall nor energy coat.

Just like how it is with knights who can auto/afk their way to higher dungeon stages. Can wizards do the same? Will a VIT99 stat even work? Or are we safe to say that because of our glass cannon built, we are not meant for afk in single dungeons (afk 7-5 and up)?

I can afk only at level 6-4 the most.

I did it just now. 
Went 7-1 on full auto.
 
P.S. But on 7-5 i died. Very much out of luck.
Overall, really go 7-5 on auto attacks.
 
Later i try walking another dungeons on 7 stage.

^finally a wiz who can say he auto'd level 7! Cooooolllll. Are you a VIT99 type?

Anyway, I really want to figure if we can auto AND AFK at level 7 stages because my knight can gain exp points no problem by doing such. It's a pain in the butt to level my wiz because I can't look away from my phone, unlike my knight who is proudly independent. LOL. Which explains why there are more high-level knights than wizards. I can play 8-hours with my knight on afk mode: my participation mainly is just selecting friends and chest boxes. Then I can look away.

With my wiz, I have to mount and run, or hit my safetywall and ecoat if I plan to tank. Meh. Overly attached wizard. LOL.

BUT I WAS HOPING THERE'S SOMEONE WHO CAN SAY THAT HE AUTO'D AND AFK'D level 7 stages with no problem. And then came you.

Finally. You, sir, are a blessing. Heh. :) i'll take your 7-1 than my 6-4 stage anytime. Haha. Do update us how your trial on other stages works.

You are sure, that you can walk on 7-1 autoattack? What your level, Max HP, Def? What mercenary you use for autorun? What staff you use for autorun?

No, not me. I wish my wiz can autorun level 7 stages. But I can't. LOL.

I just said that 7-1 is way better than my 6-4. :) because you said you just completed 7-1 right?
